Another trip to the pumpkin patch with friends!

When we where in St.Louis 2 weeks ago we went to the pumpkin patch there also! What a great day we got to hang out with all our BESTIES!!

We went to the Pumpkin patch with Coy's class 2 weeks ago! We had such a great time it was kind of a gloomy day but that didn't stop the fun!






He was SOOO proud of his pumpkin that he picked out!

The Presidental Election From The Eyes Of A 5 Year Old

So today while on the way to Walmart I hear Coy in the backseat yelling "GO OBAMA BOO JOHN MCAIN". I am very into this election as I'm sure most everyone is but I didn't think that Coy was into it also, I guess kids really do pick up on EVERYTHING!! Anyways this is how our conversation went:

Coy: go obama boo john mcain!

Me: Coy do you know what the election is about?

Coy: yes mom!

Me: what is is about then?

Coy: I think they are going to fight and who ever gets beat wins, like in wrestleing!

Me: Well Coy they are not going to fight with there hands, more with there words and that is not how the winner is picked. We are voteing for the person who we agree with

Coy: (interupting me) so they are not going to fight

Me: no Coy we are going to vote according to our beliefs like I like Obamas health care plan and I also like his plan for the economy

Coy: okay mom I thought they where going to fight.
(focusing his attention on the new election 08' donkey that we won out of the claw machine) go Obama boo john Mcain

I thought that he was soo funny you got to love the way kids view things!!

Heart brain

Today since Josh had to work all day the kids and I decided take a drive to the next town and go to there street fest! Well when we got there I couldn't find the festival (must not have been that big) so we found a nice little park to play in.
While we where on are way home Coy and I played the I LOVE YOU more than game (He loves to take turns telling each other that we love them more than stuff such as grass or anything that comes to mind) after we played that for about 10 min he decided that he wanted to talk about why God gave each person the brain they have, so I asked him what kind of brain he had and he said that his brain is a smart brain with a rock n roll brain stuck to it (since you can only have one brain LOL). He asked what kind of brain I had and I said that I have a Mommy brain he said "no mom you have a heart brain thats what God gave to you because he knew you would love Brookie and me more with a brain like that" He is such a sweet boy!!

Fundraising

Coy came home with a fundraiser today and in huge letters it said DO NOT GO DOOR TO DOOR ONLY SELL TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!! Now when I was little they encouraged you to go door to door and sell as many things as you could. I just can't believe how fast things are changing the prizes are even easier to get you only have to sell 30 things to win a ride in a limo, when I was little it you had to sell like 200 items and it was so out of reach now all you have to sell is 30?! WOW

obsessive vacuumer?

I love to vacuum my floors, I vacuum at least 5 times a day and I'm not talking one time over I'm talking like 5 or 6 times over the whole carpet each and every time I vacuum! Josh was home tonight to witness first hand what goes on when I do my thing, he looked at me and said "babe I think you hit that spot a few times over" LOL I can't help myself anyways don't they say that it is good exercise? Hmmm... well maybe I will Google it!

A New Hair Gel

I knew the day would come and it has, Brooklyn has officially started doing her own hair! I just never thought that she would be a hairstyle genius figuring out that bananas would hold up better than hair gel! LOL

Dumpster Diver ?

Okay so everytime I turn my back Brooklyn runs well crawls at outstanding speeds to the trash can, any trash can if she can make her way into the bathroom,my room,or coys room she will. But today she decided that everytime I sat down she thought that it would be an outstanding idea to make her way over to the trash can. So maybe she will be one of those "freegans" that I saw on opera or just an expert dumpster diver who knows but I am now one step ahead of her!! I never let the trash get filled more than half way because if I do it will look like a dumpster threw up on my kitchen floor in a matter of seconds!!

Bully update

So when I picked Coy up from school we were talking about his day and he said "oh mom the bully chased me but the teacher saw him and took his pautner away" (I love the way he says partner). Well I found out the big 1st grader was the "boss" and his sidekick was in kindergarten. So now the 2 can't play togather and the "boss" is Coys friend now. O man now all I can think about is my little Coy being the mean "pautner"

Brooklyn is getting so big it is hard to belive that 1 year ago today I was just preparing for Brooke tobe 1 month old and thinking "man where did the time go?"

Time fies by so fast I now have a kindergartener and a 1 year old who is starting to walk. I try not to blink my eyes and cherish every moment while my kids still want me to be around and do everything with them, because I know one day no matter how much I pray it doesn't happen my kids will think that it is uncool to have me around no matter how hard I try!!

Coy starts school :(

Monday August 18 was Coy's first day of school. To start out the day Josh turned my alarm off so we woke up late with only 5 minutes to get dressed and eat breakfast, we made it though! (luckly the school is like .45 miles from our apartment)
When I walked Coy into the school I prepared to have to leave him crying but no, no crying the only thing he told me was mom I think that I am going to be shy today:( What a sweetheart!
Later that day around 3 I went to pick him up from school that is where he told me that he didn't want me to walk him into the school anymore I should just drop him off at the door WHAT?! My baby has in one day started his first day of school and has become too "cool" for his mom to walk him to the classroom. Well I will say that I am still walking him to his classroom today (3rd day at school). Oh and when I picked Coy up yesterday from school we where doing the how was your day at school and he was telling me about art class, reading, playtime, and the bully on the playground woah back up BULLY? really in kindergarten, Coy told me that this "bully" was chasing him and his friend around the playground when I asked him why he didn't tell the teacher he said because they where scared that "bully" would hit them. Ugg I dont want Coy getting bullied so I told him to just run to the teacher if he does it again and the "bully" wont hit him. I dont want to be "that" mom who goes up to school on the 4th day of school!

New Blog

I decided to start a new blog in honor of my "new" life in Marshall.
It has been a bumpy first 2 weeks of offically living in Marshall, First my car accident. While on our way to Marshall 2 Thursdays ago the skies opened up and down came the most heavy rain I had ever saw, so I decided to slow way down to about 50mph, right after slowing I felt my car start to hydroplane all I can remember is praying that god would take the kids and me in his hands and let us get out of the way of the massive semi baraling towards us. My car spun right and then left to finally do a 360* off to the ditch and not only did we hit on the drivers side but after we hit the ditch for the 1st time my car spun around and hit agian on the passenger side. Thank God that I had checked carseats before we left that morning for Coy's carseat was not adjusted right and I don't think the outcome would have been the same if I had not checked!! (Note: Always be sure to check the carseats before you leave you house) But the kids and I where fine just a little scared. Long story short my car was totaled and I had to go back home (saint charles) to buy a new car only to drive back to Marshall the next Thursday in the rain :( Oh and may I add the last 3 digits on my accident claim number where 666 (eek). Go9d was really watching out for us. But one good thing did come out of the whole mess I got a new car which I was wanting so bad!! I got a 2007 Jeep Comander if you have never seen one google it It's great!!! oh and it has 3rd row seating which is wonderful!
